Tourism Information
The Philippines does have many tourists visiting its shores. However, the country is relatively unknown in the UK as a tourist destination. This is sad because the Philippines has some spectacular country with many sites that belong in the wonders of the world. The Chocolate Hills of Bohol for instance and the Rice Terraces of Banaue are two that are quoted although I get the feeling that there are many untold-of treasures yet to be broadcast to the tourist in search for antiquity and sights. Of course there are already many, many things to see and do. The Tarsier monkey - a beautiful, small monkey with big round eyes and suction cups for fingers and toes that cannot be kept in captivity as they will kill themselves yet are so tame they will sit in your hand. The many Spanish Churches with histories told by those that tend them. The colourful pageants held on saints days when local people dress up and parade. The various modes of transport with the colourful jeepnees, orginally made from US jeeps left behind after the war and the tricycles, motorised and foot peddled, with decorations and sayings.

The Philippines also has some of the best beaches in the world with tropical palm trees edging the sand and crystal clear blue water to bathe in. The one area of tourism that has flourished is the diving facilities which have long be heralded as some of the best in the world.

The Philippines is a great place for a holiday and far from being expensive, is relatively cheap when compared to the West Indies or islands in the Indian Ocean. However in the UK it is only dealt with by a relatively small group of travel agents who specialise in the Philippines largely because of some Filipino connection.

If you think these pictures we have of the Philippines interest you for a holiday then let us know and we will put you in touch with a range of agents to assist you in choosing you dream holiday.
